SUMMARY:BIPOC Farmers' Training and Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Black\, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) is an acronym used to identify Canadian’s ‘visible minorities’ or people who are victimized by racism and white supremacy due to the colour of their skin. There are important differences between the history and extent of colonialism experienced among the Blacks through slavery; Indigenous people through genocide\, and the People of Colour through more recent racist immigration policies. The training and workshop aims to discuss and identify challenges faced by BIPOC in the food production system and seek concrete solutions to overcome them. \nEmpowering and understanding BIPOC food production by grounding in ecological farming\, agroecology\, permaculture\, community work for land-access\, marketing and distribution. This workshop will advance your basic skills in business planning\, lease agreement\, land access\, grant/fund raising \nREGISTER HERE
