Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Map of NB Farmers’ Markets!
Glassville, NB – The National Farmers Union in New Brunswick is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Map of NB Farmers’ Markets this year with a market Passport and contest.
The map was created in 2016 to promote growth of farm markets and farm stands as key components of agriculture and economic development. The map has been updated, printed and distributed every 2 years since then. Through the oversight and collection of the map, the NFU-NB has become a liaison for farmers’ markets in the province, sitting on the Canadian Farmers’ Market coalition, and in 2025 hosted the province’s first farmers’ market conference.
To celebrate this 10th anniversary edition of the map, we have created an NB Map of Farmers’ Markets Passport and contest. Between August 1, 2026 to October 31, 2026 anyone aged 10 and over can get a passport from their farmers’ market, the NFU-NB, or the NB Food and Beverages team, and collect 10 unique stickers from any of the 44 NB farmers’ markets to fill their passport and enter to win one of 13 prizes of local food and beverage products.
Details about which markets are listed in each region can be found on the 2026 updated NB Map of Farmers’ Markets, available at every farmers’ market, visitor information centre, and public library, or online at nfunb.org.
The NFU-NB will be traveling to 35 markets from August 1, 2026 to October 31, to meet local vendors, shoppers, and local food supporters of all ages to promote the passport, Map of Farmers’ Markets and the New Brunswick agricultural sector; and to hand out its own unique passport sticker (full dates and locations listed at nfunb.org/events/). The NFU-NB will also have a limited number of free NFU cloth bags at each market, first come first serve. The NB Food and Beverages team will also have a unique sticker to hand out at the markets and events they attend.

The National Farmers Union in New Brunswick is an accredited general farm organization in the province.
