We invite you to attend the NFU-NB’s 2026 Hybrid Annual General Meeting on Sunday March 15, 2026 in the Conference Room at the Wicklow Department of Agriculture office, 39 Barker Lane, Wicklow, NB and online over Zoom. Registration will begin at 9:30am and the meeting will be adjourned at 4:00pm. The registration fee is pay what you can. The meeting includes lunch using local ingredients, and a coffee break and snacks. Simultaneous translation will be provided.
Resolutions on current policy issues may be presented at the AGM. It is preferable that you send them to us at least one week in advance, but they will also be accepted on the morning of the AGM. Resolutions form the foundation of our policy and guide our work throughout the year. Contact the office if you have any ideas you would like to put forward.
This event is your opportunity to take on a leadership role with the NFU – elections will be held for the NFU-NB Board of Directors including the President, Women’s President, Youth President, BIPOC President, Secretary, and Members-at-Large.
The day will consist of a diverse range of speakers who will discuss topics related to our theme Sowing Equity. This will include presentations and opportunities for discussion about seed regulation and sovereignty; mental health and safety program updates from Farm Talk Care; information about species at risk on agricultural lands; updates from the National office; and more. We hope to facilitate such a conversation in a balanced way with farmers and non-farmers contributing their knowledge and perspectives. This meeting and discussion are held in order to shape future direction and policy for the organization.
We strongly encourage all members to participate at this Annual General Meeting, and to invite other interested farmers and neighbours. Your participation and input is very important to our discussions, which will provide direction for our organization.
