We invite you to attend the 2026 Region 1 Annual Convention on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at the Centre 50 de Cocagne, 10 rue Villa, Cocagne, NB. To maximize your ability to join us the Region 1 Convention will be held both in person and on Zoom. We’ll be hosting a day to meet, share ideas, debate policy, and resolutions, plan, share a meal, and elect our leadership. Come and meet your fellow like minded farmers!
Registration will begin at 9:30 am. Convention will begin at 10:00 am and adjourn at 4:00 pm. An in person tour of the regional community garden, community root cellar, and underground greenhouse will follow. There is no registration fee.
This is your opportunity to take a leadership role with the NFU. Elections will be held for three National Board members; a Women’s Advisory Committee member; a Youth Advisory Committee member; a Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour Committee (BIPOC) member; and an International Program Committee (IPC) member, as well as nominations for the Grassroots Member Award. Resolutions on current policy issues may be presented to this Convention and if they are passed, they will be forwarded to National Convention. Please submit proposed resolutions by Monday, September 28th to info@nfunb.org.
In addition to Convention business we are pleased to announce that Devon Cooke; filmmaker and NFU member will present his film The Hands That Feed Us. We will also have a presentation and discussion about the recent brigades in Nova Scotia and Ontario.
We encourage all members to attend this Regional Convention. Your participation and input is very important in our discussions that will provide direction for our Region. We also encourage you to invite interested farmers and your neighbours to attend and observe the convention.
